Maureen Denise McCormick is the daughter and youngest child of Richard McCormick. She was born August 5, 1956, in Woodland Hills California. The mother of the child was home and also mother to her children. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her brothers older than her. McCormick began singing and performing in the early years of her life. McCormick won in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley Contest at age 6 and was contacted via Pat Domigan, a talent agent with the Jack Wormser Agency. He was interested in her desire to be a part of the show business. Her first major role came in 1964 when she appeared in a television commercial featuring Mattels new doll Baby Pattaburp. A year later she was a guest on an additional firm's Chatty Cathy Doll and was immediately selected for the La Jolla Playhouse play Wind ItUp And ItBreaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick won the 1969 audition of 1,200 youngsters to be the oldest of the three twin daughters in the TV program The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed together with Robert Reed. The show ran for five years. McCormick wrote in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published In 2008 McCormick disclosed that during the fifth season of the TV show, she was close to losing her the love of her life to her sister Barry Williams. In 2008, she revealed in her book Heres the Truth: surviving Marcia and Finding My True Voice, that during season five of the show, she was close to losing her virginity to actor Barry Williams. We would've had a couple, she added. The timing, however, wasn't right.
